God’s first revealed characteristic is light. The world was dark, so he planted his seed of luminescence in an earthen vessel. His light shone among humanity-illuminating them, changing them, bringing forth sons of light to carry and reflect his nature. These sons are trained to spend eternity in the presence. He teaches them, while in the dark to bear his light; they become light bearers. these vessels become the shape of his blazing glory and he reveals their true shape. It is only on earth we have an opportunity to reflect his light, Christ.
He is the light of the world, we are the lights of the world – the day will come when the only burning glow will be the shape of Christ, on us. There will be some who despise that light, because it reveals, they will try to put out the light bearers. And then a new day will dawn on a new earth when there will be no light, no moon, no sun, no stars, yet it will no longer be a dark world. Only vessels who have carried His light, basked in his light, known and learned to tolerate that light here, will be able to dwell in His light, there. The only light will be Christ, the first characteristic of God.
But who can endure the day of his coming? and who can stand when he appears for he is like a refiners fire and like fullers soap. Malachi 3:2
